This weekend I’ll be working on the Infrastructure Team at BarCampMadison. I’ll be working on the Wall of Shame, FTP server for Linux Repos, Wireless and Wired Networking among other things. If you need me send me a page to mailto:pageshane.no-spam-bratnet.net But so prevent spamming, please remove the .no-spam- part and make it just @bratnet.net. Watch the Network Infrastructure page of BarCamp for links to local services, and the Virtual Wall of Shame.

I was reading SlashDot today and their was an article about faster sorting of LinkedLists, and I had a flashback moment on College. I found my first official post of a library to comp.sources.misc of LinkedList. I wrote all the sort routines and did the porting work. I created the sort routines mainly because my Professor Husein Laringafi said it wasn’t possible. Obviously he was wrong, and this is probably why he asked my not to come to class anymore:) Kidding, really I just annoyed him in class because I kept pointing out all the logic and programming errors in his class materials. So he asked me not to come anymore and made me his teaching aid. Here is the link to an archived version of LinkedList from May 1993: http://www.landfield.com/software/comp.sources.misc/packages/linkedlist/
